Original USAF P-4A Flight Helmet Size Large with Boom Mic Date ???, comes with suspension, chin and nape straps, comm cord and earphones, and leather oxygen mask tabs, the original P-1 hard helmet for jet pilots was introduced by the United States Air Force in March 1948. The Type P-4A was basically the same helmet with a sun visor added, improved earphones, and minor refinements to the web lining and straps, The helmet shows normal flight use with corresponding signs of wear; the shell has been repainted, the suspension harness has been replaced, otherwise it is in good condition; the earpieces need to be replaced, I believe this helmet was used by the German Air Force, possibly in F 86 fighters in the 50s-70s,
